Replacing This Site’s SSL Certificate with a Three-Year Comodo Certificate

This site used to use a SSL certificate from Symantec, but after all, it was a free DV certificate. After the root certificate was revoked following the proliferation of WoSign (WoSign) free DV certificates, I could not help worrying that Symantec might one day face the same punishment.

Moreover, according to official news from Google, Google will gradually reduce its trust in Symantec SSL. So I decided to switch to a more trusted certificate authority and chose Comodo (Comodo), a long-established provider.

As it happened, a few months ago Namecheap launched a Symantec certificate replacement program that allows Symantec SSL certificates to be replaced with Comodo SSL certificates for free. The new certificate (Comodo SSL) has the same expiration date as the original certificate (Symantec SSL), and you can choose whether to renew it after it expires.
