Let me take a spot first—I’ve got a fever and can’t hold up

By the time I started writing this, it was already the second day. I never would have imagined that fortunes would reverse so quickly: Q had acute gastroenteritis the night before, and the next day it was my turn. I was vomiting and having diarrhea, with exactly the same symptoms, though in the end I managed not to vomit. Q recovered quite quickly, though. The day before, Q had been as listless as a little chick, but the next day had turned into a lively little bunny.

Picking up from yesterday, neither of the two things I had planned got done today. In the morning, I spent the whole time working on connecting an Android Studio virtual machine to a Bluetooth device for debugging. It turned out that it couldn’t read the computer’s Bluetooth module, and trying several other Android virtual machines produced the same result, so I had to put it aside for now.

In the afternoon, I started working on the Chinese documentation for next.js, only to run into an even more difficult problem: its Git repository is too large—over 2G—so it can’t be pushed to Github. But I also can’t discard the entire Git History. After spending the whole afternoon on it, I still couldn’t come up with a good solution. The only way should be to Fork it directly into the organization’s repository, but then its behavior would be inconsistent with the other repositories, so I’ll put that aside for now as well.

At today’s close, Changjiang Electric Power, which I had held for an entire year, finally broke even. After it fell from the low 30s, I kept doing T-trades and brought my cost down to 27.5 yuan. A month ago, Changjiang Electric Power almost dipped below 25 yuan. After weathering the storm, I finally saw the light—a fitting reward for value investing, I suppose.

Although Changjiang Electric Power only just broke even, boosted by several other stocks, the total profit in my securities account reached a new all-time high today, officially surpassing the 10,000-yuan mark. It’s a milestone, and I hope I can maintain this momentum going forward without too much of a pullback.
